How I handle your information

What I collect

• The quote form: your name, email, business name, what you need, and your message.
• The chat with Sage: what you type, so Sage can answer. Chats aren't saved to your name.
• Calls and texts to Novello's number: your phone number, the time you called, any voicemail you leave, and the texts we send each other.
• If we work together: your intake form answers, the files you upload (your logo, photos, and documents), your web address and Google Business Profile answers, and our agreement and invoices.

I never ask for your passwords, and this site never takes card numbers.

Where it's kept

• Quote requests are received by Netlify, the company that hosts this site, and kept in my private Google business account.
• Client answers and files live in my private Google business account (Sheets, Drive, and Gmail). Your files go into a folder only I can open. It's never shared.
• Calls, voicemails, and texts go through Twilio, the phone company behind Novello's business number, and are logged in my private Google business account.
• Sage's chats are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the AI behind Sage, so it can write a reply. Anthropic doesn't use them to train its AI. Please don't share anything sensitive in the chat.

How it's protected

• Every page on this site is encrypted.
• Your client pages only open with your private link. They're hidden from search engines, and a wrong link shows nothing. If your link ever gets out, I can turn it off and send you a new one.
• My accounts are protected with 2-step verification.
• The forms screen out bots, and the site blocks outside code from running on its pages.

Text messages

• When you'll get one: if you call Novello's number and I miss you, you'll get one text from me about your call. It's never marketing, and I won't text again unless you reply. After that, texts are only part of our conversation.
• How often: it varies with our conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
• To stop: reply STOP, or tell me any other way, and the texts stop right away. Reply START to turn them back on. Reply HELP for help, or email michael@novello.studio.
• Your number stays private: mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.

Who can see it

Only me. I don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services named above that run this site and my business, and only so they can do that job. The one exception would be a legal requirement, like a court order.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use advertising cookies or trackers. Your intake form keeps a backup of your answers in your own browser, so nothing is lost if your connection drops. It stays in that browser until you clear it.

How long I keep it

• Quote requests that don't turn into a project: deleted within 12 months.
• Client answers and files: kept while we work together and while I host your site, then deleted within 12 months after our work ends.
• Agreements and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.
• Call and text records (including opt-out requests) are kept for 4 years, because that's how long the law allows questions about calls and texts to be raised. If you've asked not to be texted, I keep your number on my do-not-text list so it stays that way.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what I have, a correction, or for me to delete it at any time. Just email michael@novello.studio. I'll take care of it within 30 days and confirm by email.
